On the 3rd of August 2017 there were more than 300 people including Sisters, families and friends joined with eight Novices: Maria Kinh, Teresa Thao, Maria Teresa Phuong Dung, Maria Nguyet Anh, Maria Tham, Anna Le Thu, Maria Thanh Xuan and Teresa Tuyet Trinh to celebrate their First Profession in Thu Duc Community. Bishop Joseph Do Manh Hung, the Auxiliary Bishop of Sai Gon Archdiocese, was the main celebrant with 10 other Priests. In his homily, the Bishop emphasised that vocation is a free choice and also a mystery. The newly professed sisters who chose to live in religious life because they experience in their lives and believe what St Paul professed in his letter to the Philippians: “I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage that I may gain Christ and be found in him” (Philippians 3:8-14).
