On the morning of August 22, 2023, at 5:30 a.m., when everything had just woken up from a long sleep, the night dew was still glittering on each leaf, at the Holy Trinity chapel – the convent of Our Lady of the Missions in Thu Duc, joy and gratitude to God seems to be welling up in the hearts of the sisters, a sacred and quiet atmosphere spreads in the dawn light, welcoming seven Postulants who joined the Novitiate.
Morning Prayer has brought the sisters into the mood of praise and gratitude to God because of the love God has shown in a unique way to the seven Postulants; He has invited them to stay with Him more deeply in the Novitiate to grow up in a personal relationship with Him. The rite of entry to the Novitiate culminated in a special Mass for the Novices. The joy in their hearts was connected with the joy on the faces of each of the sisters present.
The Constitution, number 70, says: “The purpose of the Novitiate is to enable the novice and to discern… it is a time for the Novice to grow in a personal relationship with Christ through silence, solitude, contemplation and reflection on the scriptures. She develops an understanding of what it is to live a vowed life through the practice of the evangelical counsels…”
May you respond fully to God’s call and enjoy the moments of staying with God to be loved, grow up and live happily in RNDM vocation. May you enter a new formation stage with God’s graces and blessings.
