Mission is far and beyond

As missionaries, we are called to be the Word of God for others — a broken Word of God, a spoken Word of God, and a missionary Word of God. In our mission, we are called to live the memory of Jesus by disturbing, challenging, and transforming ourselves as well as others.

Mission is relationship.

Mission is encounter.

Mission is both receiving and giving.

Mission is transformation.

Mission is God’s love made flesh.

The Trinity is the source of our missionary activity. As RNDMs, we are challenged to live, carry out, and participate in the Divine Mission of God to strengthen the people and the whole cosmos.. Reflection on the Trinity helps us in our understanding of the image of God. If we imagine the Trinity as relational, communal, and dynamic, we are able to find ourselves within it. Truly, we can locate ourselves as missionaries, sharing in the international missionary activity that Euphrasie has gifted us with so profoundly.

God as Trinity calls us to be in the world, both at its center and its edges, crossing boundaries of race, culture, belief, gender, and age. Personally, we need to deepen our awareness of belonging to this community and of God revealed in the universe.

May the Trinitarian God, Mother Mary, and the missionary spirit of Euphrasie Barbier be with us always.
