Context

Kuchinda village in Odisha, there are several primary schools but the annual Status of Education Report shows that the quality of government primary education in Odisha has declined. School infrastructure is very poor and very badly maintained. There is very little access to quality education for tribal children.

Location: Kuchinda is a tribal town in the Indian State of Odisha.

Goals: The RNDM mission in Odisha serves the marginalized and tribal children of Kuchinda district. The aim of the project is to impart basic quality education to the children attending public schools, who are deprived of good educational opportunities.

Activities: The Sisters engage themselves in the ministries of education and social development. They run nine Supplementary Education Centers in Kuchinda, for over 200 children from remote villages who attend these classes. Through these centers, they gain literacy and are empowered to join formal school.

Beneficiaries: more than 200 tribal and “Dalit” children of Kuchinda district are benefiting from this project

Request: The project requires financial support to continue reaching out to the most marginalized and deprived children of the district and give them a brighter future.
