Women and Children: “The corner stone of the society”

As RNDMs, we commit ourselves to support and empower women and children in our ministries.  We strongly believe that women and children form the foundation of any thriving society. When women are empowered, they nurture stronger families, shape future leaders, and contribute to the progress of their communities. Similarly, we have invested in children ensured a brighter and more promising future for all. Michelle Obama once said, “There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish.” This rings true in every aspect of life—when women are given opportunities they uplift those around them. Likewise, if we invest in children who will have grown into responsible citizens, we can break cycles of poverty and inequality.

Our ministries at Bidar, India South are about empowering women, children, and families through education, leadership training, and various awareness programmes. By providing monthly teacher’s evaluation, training and engaging children with interactive learning, and involving parents in awareness programs, the Euphrasie Nilaya community fostered growth, confidence, and leadership within the community.

Creative activities like art and craft, skits and drama, folk dances and talent shows, action songs and games, were organized for the tuition children to promote creativity, self-expression, awareness on social issues and education, to make learning fun and engaging. Health and hygiene, environmental education, time management and goal setting, were put into their minds so that they can bring change for a better world. Child Rights and Protection educated the children on their rights and safety. Children were made aware of the danger of Human trafficking in today’s world.

As Mother Teresa wisely said, “I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.” The small acts of kindness and the investment in children’s growth created a ripple effect, transforming entire communities.

As for women, we invited them to participate in workshops to enhance their skills in sewing, and financial literacy. Health and Hygiene Awareness provided information on nutrition, maternal health, and helped improve their well-being in day-to-day living.

As RNDM missionaries we integrated Biblical values in our teaching, we  fostered strong moral foundations and encouraged self-sufficiency, leadership, and confidence among all.
